Revitalization and Renovation Services
While new housing is being constructed and plans are phased in, at Balfour Beatty Communities, we look to improve existing homes in order to continue to enhance the quality of life for military members and their families.
Through our detailed inspections and analyses of existing homes, we come to understand the specific areas that need upgrading. We take pride in our ability to revitalize older housing, leveraging our knowledge and experience to meet market standards through skillful, quality renovation.
In renovating military housing, we “think green,” utilizing the most energy efficient techniques and appliances. We work hard to improve the quality of each home, making appropriate improvements depending on the age and condition of the housing. These improvements range from installing new kitchens and bathrooms, upgrading plumbing and electric, and installing new flooring and carpeting to enhancing lighting, painting interiors and exteriors, and landscaping. Our goal is for our residents to feel happy, comfortable, and at home.
Many installations throughout the United States contain a substantial number of historically significant homes. Our team includes professionals with a high level of expertise in historic renovation, essential to respectfully renovating these treasured assets. In assuring proper treatment of historic homes, Balfour Beatty Communities works closely with State Historic Preservation Offices (SHPO) and focus on National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and Archaeological Resources Protection Act (ARPA) compliance.
